HO211vc: Credit Counseling for Maximum Results
In this course, you’ll gain the tools and confidence to deliver high-impact credit counseling sessions. You’ll learn how to interpret credit reports, understand credit scoring models and apply consumer credit laws. Through real-world case studies, you’ll practice identifying credit challenges, developing action plans and guiding clients toward stronger credit profiles. You’ll also explore how to deliver credit education in your community that helps clients rebuild or establish credit. This course is ideal for counselors seeking deeper knowledge and practical strategies to improve client outcomes.

Come Prepared for the Course
This faculty-led course takes place over four weeks and includes up to a 90-minute weekly live web conference session, self-paced online assignments and the use of peer discussion forums. Learners should expect to spend approximately four hours per week on course related reading and assignments. All required coursework is due by 11:59 p.m. PT on the designated day of class.
