UPDATE HO345: Advanced Foreclosure Case Study Practicum
This advanced course is designed for experienced foreclosure counselors ready to sharpen their skills through real-world case study practice. You’ll work through complex scenarios to analyze client files, identify discrepancies, and develop resolution strategies. Learn how to apply solution-focused counseling, create crisis budgets, and guide clients through appeals and follow-up. You’ll also strengthen your ability to evaluate servicer decisions and complete loss mitigation packages. This course is ideal for counselors who want to deepen their expertise and meet the second part of the Foreclosure Intervention and Default Counseling Certification requirements. This course has 18 hours that count for certification renewal.

Live Session Schedule
Come Prepared for the Course
This faculty-led course takes place over four weeks and includes up to a 90-minute weekly live web conference session, self-paced online assignments and the use of peer discussion forums. Learners should expect to spend approximately four hours per week on course related reading and assignments. All required coursework is due by 11:59 p.m. PT on the designated day of class.
