This course equips you with the tools to become an effective financial coach. You’ll learn how to conduct coaching sessions, set SMART goals, and use active listening to help clients align their financial behaviors with their values. Through hands-on practice, you’ll explore how coaching complements counseling and education, and how to facilitate behavior change that leads to financial security. You’ll also learn how to use tools like the Wheel of Personal Finance and powerful questioning techniques to guide clients toward success. This course has 21 hours that count for certification renewal.

Live Session Schedule
Come Prepared for the Course
This faculty-led course takes place over four weeks and includes up to a 90-minute weekly live web conference session, self-paced online assignments and the use of peer discussion forums. Learners should expect to spend approximately four hours per week on course related reading and assignments. All required coursework is due by 11:59 p.m. PT on the designated day of class.
